The journey around Lake
Llanquihue is one of the most perfect trips you can make
in the Lake District. You can bask in some of the most
beautiful landscapes ever, and enjoy direct contact with
its unique natural charms and customs, including stately
colonial houses, picturesque chapels, deserted beaches,
primeval forests, lava fields born of recent eruptions,
agricultural farms and tiny peaceful towns and hamlets,
all surrounded by the deep blue lake and dominated by
the magical volcano and surrounding woods. The circuit
around the lake stretches for some 90 miles, with approximately
